Joe Louis Arena, aka “Hockeytown”, “The Joe” and “JLA” is the home of the Detroit Red Wings. It was built in 1979 and is named for the former heavyweight champion, Joe Louis, who grew up in Detroit. “The Joe” has a seating capacity of 20,000+. |
